2014年。川崎市内で女性ばかりを狙った連続殺人事件が起きる。被害者は皆、首を吊られていたぶり殺されており、世間では“首くくり殺人”などと呼ばれていた。犯人の手掛かりが掴めず、警察の捜査は難航していたが、捜査一課の刑事・井口は、この快楽殺人犯の容疑者としてある男をマークしていた。その男の名は、野木直哉（古川雄輝）。身元を詐称し、人前から気配を消して、息を潜めて生活する暮らしぶり。彼こそ、世間を騒がせた“昭島母子誘拐事件”の被害者・八木沼雅人だった。野木は、隣人・吉佳を巻き込みながら、捜査網から逃れようとするが、その中である事実に気付き…。果たして野木は、どんな事実に辿り着いたのか？野木の真の目的とは！？。Joe Anton (Raft) is a speakeasy owner who falls in love with socialite Miss Healy (Cummings). He takes lessons in high-class mannerisms from Mabel Jellyman (Skipworth).
