本作是一部关于癌症的医疗类纪录片。项目组选择蹲守在复旦大学附属肿瘤医院，拍摄2021年来肿瘤医院治疗的病人，和在肿瘤学科进行深耕的医学工作者。通过记录在治疗过程中展现的医学进步、生死之间的人性等社会人文议题，来推动医患双方的理解和认知上的进步。。主人公是22岁的少女妮可，父母外出后独自照看房子，她和好朋友韦萝妮克享受着夏日惬意的时光。这种平静被妮可的哥哥打破了，他带着他的乐队出现了，他们正打算为专辑录歌。两个女孩的友谊受到了考验。她们的假日出现了意想不到的转折。妮可开始失眠，并且收到了来自一个只有十岁的男孩坚持不渝的追求。。When small town drifter Sammy Barlach drives into town on the search for his next cold beer and the bunch that'll have him, he gets a lot more than he bargained for.
