故事设定在1847年，一支英国皇家海军探险队试图在北极圈中寻找传说中的「西北航道」（Northwest Passage）。他们的船在途中遭遇一个可怕的掠食怪，这东西隐藏在船上，与惊恐的船员们展开一场「生存游戏」。与此同时，饥饿、坏血病与叛乱始终困扰着这支探险队。。Etienne是一个不成功的话剧导演，他在监狱组建了一支戏剧表演队伍，带着一组囚犯排练经典戏剧——《等待戈多》。 在他终于获得了许可带着一租囚犯出狱巡回演出的时候，Etienne重拾了自信。他们的首次公演虽然稚嫩，但得到了剧场老板的认同，Etienne与这些特殊演员之间的关系也变得更加密切。然而囚犯们却在谋划趁着演出期间集体出逃。。A boyfriend, who can barely speak English, embarks on an overseas trip with his girlfriend, who takes charge of planning everything and even handles communication on his behalf.
