The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。昔日人流興旺的全寶廣場，今時今日旺場變死場，剩下商舖不多，幾乎人煙絕跡。租戶並不知道極陰日「三破日」的到來，就在當天，商場地牢暗藏結界被意外打開，釋放出陰霾怪氣腐爛人身蠶食成喪屍，在商場展開大屠殺！ 人生失意的森哥 (姜皓文飾)，在全寶廣場開影碟鋪，就在這極陰之日，跟前妻生活的女兒阿欣 (Candy @Collar 王家晴飾)到商場找他，兩人總是意見不合又吵起來，更在已變為煉獄的商場內失散。森哥奮力找回女兒，並救了鄰近風水舖的麥師傳 (#楊偉倫飾)。 麥師傳從祖傳下來的「天書」得知，喪屍為「三魂七魄」中的「七魄」所變，一旦人們吸入神秘苞子，便會成為失去靈魂、被「七魄」掌控的野獸。唯一擊敗「七魄」的方法是佈下七星陣結界，方能超渡怨靈。 森哥、阿欣、麥師傅按天書引眾喪屍到結界位，與喪屍進行最後決戰。三人能否衝出喪屍包圍，逃離商場？。
