The film, dealing with theme of war and shot in black and white, remained unnotice...。解放初期，沈营长觉着解放了，无仗可打，应该脱军装到地方工作。师长告诉他，建国伊始，反动派并不甘心自己的失败，轻敌思想要不得，沈听后有所感触，深知枪杆子的重要和自身责任的重大。深夜，师部敌情通报，敌人准备烧桥后从海上逃跑，令沈营长带人在天亮前夺下大桥，全歼敌人，不使一人漏网。战斗英雄柱子率突击队勇闯铁网密布的桥头，负伤后不顾卫生员的劝阻继续冲锋，直至牺牲，经过浴血奋战，终于击溃了敌人，夺回了大桥。当海面上接应的美国军舰看到我高高飘扬的国旗，灰溜溜的开走了，沈营长在兴奋的同时，也深感巩固胜利的不易......。
