影片围绕猪八戒（高泓贤饰）讲述了一出啼笑皆非的诙谐轻喜剧。本片共分为《猪朋狗友斗雷公》、《情迷女儿国》、《搬山记》和《无法无天无间盗》四个单元。嫉恶如仇的雷震子（赵毅饰）为降妖除魔戾气渐长，甚至滥杀无辜，终于惹来玉帝（黄海冰饰）的不满。死不悔改的雷震子，竟在误打误撞间，意外地被原本在人间逍遥快活的猪八戒与哮天犬（李宗翰饰）打败，被逼进入佛灯修行。哮天犬早在黑山之时就与相思仙子（韩雪饰）相爱，相思却招来妒忌被设计陷害。两人惊天地泣鬼神的爱情故事才刚刚开始。猪八戒同情相思，帮助两人走到一起。在此后的单元剧集里，更是笑料百出惊喜不断。。The film is based loosely around events in December 1995 that culminated in the murders of three drug dealers in Rettendon, Essex, UK.
